Pathfinder Campaign

Of cross-dressing orcs and soggy sea men... and women.

The party is packing to get out of dodge before they are arrested for murder when Hobson shows up. He hears their story and tells the party he will go speak with the local authorities on their behalf and see if he can’t sort things out. In the meantime he would have them look into a matter for their mutual benefactor. They are tasked with rescuing the son of a local well to do family from a deal gone apparently bad. They are to find Coster Seldane who has not returned from a deal he was making to purchase an old book from a shady source. The party decides they should go in disguise and the gnome creates a particularly masterful disguise for the orc. Making him appear as an older orc woman. They eventually track down the site of the deal where they find signs of foul play and and crazy old man (Old Petey No-name, on account that he ain’t got no name) who believes he is an invisible woman. They learn the perpetrators may be linked to someone or something called Dagon. Not long after they fall into a trap and have to fight their way through some soggy cultists. They play a particular ingenious deceit on the lone survivor to lure her into their own trap and capture her. Their attempts to question her prove fruitless so they let her go with the intention of following her to her hideout. Things don’t go as planned when she turns the table on them and the orc get’s pulled into an uncomfortable situation with some sailors due to his impenetrable disguise. The cultist get’s away and thankfully so does the orc, albeit he had to escape by jumping through a 2nd story window and legging it.

The adventure with the duplicitous bard

The party was hired to return some lost items by an female elven bard in a bar they were invited to visit for her show. They agreed and through a few run ins with some thieves were able to return the most important items to their rightful owner, a colourful merchant. This brought them to odds with a powerful family in the city that also happens to run a circle of thieves and ner-do-wells. Having all but eliminated his circle of hirlings (or caused them to be eliminated by a mysterious third party) they ended up kidnapping him in his own home and subsequently learning someone wanted him dead. The party waited them out and then agreeing they had both been manipulated into their current predicament they returned him to his home where he was promptly murdered. Oops. The party had been duped into helping the lady bard kill her rival and secure more power for herself over the cities underworld and gotten themselves suspected of murder they didn’t commit to boot. They are advised to leave the city for awhile until the heat is off.

A Fresh Start

The party having only recently moved into their new home and base of operations in one of the poorer quarters of Osterholt are called out by a local gang of thugs, the Butcher Street Toshers. The parties resident fighter and tough guy, the half-orc Margdak sent the first group running with a snarl and flex. It was not long however before the gang returned, this time lead by much more impressive looking individual and with a few more bodies to back them up. It appeared the Toshers wanted the party to leave what they thought to be their turf. They seemed to believe the party was a rival gang attempting to seize control. The party however believed the gang was a rival adventuring company. When it was clear diplomacy was not going to resolve the impasse and the new leader was not going to be intimidated the Oropher suggested a duel be held, the winner take all so to speak. Being confident in his abilities the Toshers leader accepts. Margdak and the Tosher leader duke it out in the middle of the street in an impromptu arena, drawing many local residents as onlookers. Margdak wins out and the party decides not to murder the leader in broad daylight, at least not with so many witnesses. Margdak takes the leaders Masterwork rapier and the Tosher’s take flight, dragging their leaders bloodied and unconscious body behind them.
